BRCF researchers have reported some alien invasive speacies on Kaas Plateau. It is a reson of concern and its affects could be catastrophic for the endemic and threatened plants of Western Ghats in Satara. Under the guidance of experts this conservation programme will be conducted. As per the researchers, invasive species are very dangerous and have allelopathic effect. These species may interfere with the native flora and may become a major threat to the endemic and threatened plants of Kaas Plateau. We have to handle this biotic invasion very gently and effectively.
